My Favorite Time of Day

Sunset is by far my favorite time of day. The sky turns all these brilliant colors and I know it will only last a little while. I try to get out and take sunset photos all year but October through March are by far my favorite months. There is usually a bite in the air and the sun sets early. I love how during harvest the dust in the air adds this haze, and during the most bitter evenings while the snow is covering the ground everything seems pink or orange and sometimes the grayest blue, during the planting season I can hear the tractors humming and the energy is just magnificent. Now that I've rambled enough…

I love how the color changes all throughout the 5 to 10 minutes I'm standing outside shivering.

One warm-er-ish Friday afternoon in November I got together with my cousin, Jessica, to take photos of her sweet little new baby boy. I think it is safe to say I am just in love with this boy. He is just the sweetest little thing. And best yet… after I have gotten my cuddles in and he is getting fussy I can just hand him back to his momma.

Congratulations again Jessica and Rafael. I think for Christmas he needs a little playmate…

Last Friday afternoon Michael came out to indulge his mom and get his senior pics taken. To say he wasn't into getting his pic taken is a huge understatement. We quickly got his pics done so he could make it to the football game that night. Oh, to be a highschooler again… I think the highlight of the afternoon for him was after I put the camera away and we chatted in the driveway with my husband while he was changing tires on some rims for his trailer.

Thank you for indulging your mom and letting me take your pics. Good luck on your after high school plans!
